The Harsval project includes also strengthening the mobility of scientists between Polish and Norwegian entities. The outcome will be the integration of the Polish and Norwegian scientific communities, increased cohesion through increased competence and skills, and the creation of new international scientific initiatives based on Polish-Norwegian consortia to solve complex research challenges.
More information about the mobility programme you can found in WP2.
We received a report about the internship to University of Oslo, Department of Geosciences from Dr. Emilia Karamuz (Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw).
We invite you to enjoy:
“Thanks to funding from the HarSval project, I had the opportunity to participate in a two-week research internship at the Department of Geosciences, University of Oslo. During my stay, I had the privilege of collaborating with leading hydrology experts, including Professor Lena M. Tallaksen, a renowned specialist in hydrological extremes and hydrological modelling. Working alongside Professor Tallaksen and her team provided valuable insights and benefited me from their extensive expertise.
During the visit, we discussed the problem of the increasing occurrence of spring droughts over the past two decades. My research focuses on elucidating the complex relationship between snow cover and spring droughts, particularly emphasising the hydrological processes involved. This internship broadened my knowledge in the field and laid the groundwork for future collaboration, including joint scientific publications and research projects.”
