The Harsval project includes also strengthening the mobility of scientists between Polish and Norwegian entities. The outcome will be the integration of the Polish and Norwegian scientific communities, increased cohesion through increased competence and skills, and the creation of new international scientific initiatives based on Polish-Norwegian consortia to solve complex research challenges.
More information about the mobility programme you can found in WP2.
We received a report about the internship to University of Iceland in Reykjavik from Dr. Izabela Jamorska and Assoc. Prof. Arkadiusz Krawiec (Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń).
We invite you to enjoy:
“Dr. Izabela Jamorska and Assoc. Prof. Arkadiusz Krawiec took part in a research internship at the University of Iceland in Reykjavik from 15-23.02.2025. The purpose of the internship was to establish scientific cooperation in the field of hydrogeology – more closely geothermal waters and issues concerning sustainable geotourism. During the stay, they were acquainted with the research conducted in the geochemical and hydrogeological laboratories of the Institute of Earth Sciences, University of Iceland, as well as conducted a number of field trips to areas where geothermal waters occur and places of high geotourism value. Iceland is a country with most types of geological sites such as volcanoes, waterfalls, glaciers and thermal waters. An additional element, important from the point of view of a geologist but also a tourist, is the possibility of observing geological phenomena in real time: volcanic eruptions, outflows of geothermal waters in the form of geysers, melting glaciers.”
