The Harsval project includes also strengthening the mobility of scientists between Polish and Norwegian entities. The outcome will be the integration of the Polish and Norwegian scientific communities, increased cohesion through increased competence and skills, and the creation of new international scientific initiatives based on Polish-Norwegian consortia to solve complex research challenges.
More information about the mobility programme you can found in WP2.
We received a report about the internship from Dr. Tomasz Wawrzyniak (Institute of Geophysics Polish Academy of Sciences), we invite you to enjoy:
“During my stay at The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE), I had the opportunity to learn about many aspects of its activities in Norway, Svalbard and elsewhere. NVE oversees water resources and energy, produces hydrological forecasts and studies the effects of climate change on hydro-geological processes. My stay at NVE was an extremely valuable experience that allowed me to develop my research skills and expand my knowledge. I participated in seminars and field works, fostering the exchange of experiences. I became familiar with the technical solutions used by NVE with a view to their implementation in my research on Spitsbergen. I had the opportunity to share the results of my own work during ,,lunch seminar”. I paid special attention to the great opportunities that can be provided by cooperation in research conducted on Svalbard by NVE and Polish scientific units.”
