HarSval, a bilateral initiative focused on harmonizing Svalbard cooperation, has reached its final stage. The project has been a significant step toward strengthening existing collaborations and fostering new partnerships between Polish and Norwegian scientists. It has successfully brought together both experienced researchers and early-career scientists, creating a supportive research network.
The results of the project were shared during Polar Night Week 2025, which took place in Longyearbyen, 20-24 January 2025. The week culminated in a joint summary session, where project partners came together to discuss achievements, challenges, and future opportunities for collaboration.
Following the formal proceedings, participants gathered for a celebratory dinner, a wonderful opportunity to reflect on shared experiences, deepen connections, and toast to the success of HarSval. The evening was filled with inspiring conversations, gratitude, and a shared vision for continued cooperation in research.
We are proud of what HarSval has achieved and look forward to the project’s legacy contributing to future polar research and collaboration.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey!
